Agape Love

1 Corinthians 13:7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Cheryl and I teach Bible School classes and conduct marriage seminars all over the world. Everytime we teach on marriage, people are transformed, marriages healed and families restored. Our curriculum came from the Bible and from the Lord Jesus over 15 years of intense discipleship by the Lord Himself. The concepts the Lord has taught us are so radical that even some mature Christians and Pastors have difficulty accepting and implementing these truths.
So what is love, and specifically what is Agape or God’s kind of love? According to the verse above, it is the ability to overcome any and all situations, circumstances, problems or people! It’s telling us that every impossible situation or relationship is not only possible, but is actually very easy to overcome with this supernatural power of God’s Love!
You may be thinking this is not true, and in your own power or ability it’s impossible. But with this Agape Love Power in you by the Holy Spirit, it becomes absolutely true and available for your use at all times and during all circumstances! Thank God for His Amazing Grace.
The Love of God in you can bear all things and endure all things. This means nothing and no one is impossible to deal with. If you have come to the point in a relationship that you can no longer bear or endure, then you are in a perfect place because you have exhausted all your human ability. Now you can tap into the limitless ability of God and His Love that has no boundaries, nor limits- it has the power to do what no human can do, and change what no person can change; this is Faith in the Word of God!
This Love, Power and Ability is in you at all times, during every difficult situation and even when you are being abused, mistreated, tortured, ignored or unloved. You have the ability to overcome, overlook and give love when you don’t feel like it. Why? Because God’s Love is a choice and a decision we make, it’s not an emotion- it’s constant and unchanged at all times, regardless of someone’s behavior, good or bad!
God’s love overlooks sin and does not notice if someone does wrong. And even if you are abused, God’s Love in you sees no sin and continues to Love especially when they don’t deserve it. This means we really have no excuses but to release this love like Jesus did for you when He accepted you!
Married people cannot leave each other or divorce if we are born again and are filled with the Holy Spirit. We must use God’s Love that endures and bears all things and overlooks sin and abuse, and doesn’t even notice when it happens. God’s love forgets and forgives and keeps on giving love like nothing ever happened. It’s actually possible to completely forget if someone does you wrong. How is it possible? By focusing on God, the future and the good things listed in Philippians 4:8!
