Zechariah 2:5 For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.

God Himself is the literal firewall in our lives, to those who call upon His name and trust all the day in His Word! Jesus is a consuming and burning fire: our God is the source of all power and electrifying fire of lightning, which goeth forth faster than the speed of light throughout the whole earth.

The three Hebrews, Shadrach, Meshach and Abadnego were simply in the presence of God and His almighty and powerful glory, which is a spiritual fire that consumes all man-made fires that burn upon the earth. No natural fire is able to come near unto the presence of our Almighty and all powerful God- the Lord Jesus Christ; Messiah, Creator and Saviour of the world.

The Lord has said here in Zechariah 2:5, that He is the wall of fire round about, with the glory in the midst of her. This is a prophecy of truth for us today that has been fulfilled with the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus!

John 17:22-23  And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: 23  I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

Now that Christ, the LORD is in me through the glory that Jesus has given to me, I have the all consuming fire round about me. The fire of the Holy Spirit and the presence of God by faith is with me constantly, never leaving, nor forsaking me, nor His purposes for me. The truth of the precious Word of God must I abide in, so as to procure all the promises and protections of His eternal covenant.

As I refuse to conform or obey unrighteousness, as I refuse to bend or bow my knee to Baal or idols, God’s consuming fire wall shall melt away all devices, wiles and weapons of the enemy. The words of the liar shall fall to the ground, evaporating into thin air- all power being drained and poured out into the dust, from whence he lives, being placed under my feet and churned under for mulch in future planting and harvest.

As the Lord has promised to His faithful and true servants; friends and ministers- His glory has been given – Christ in You, the hope of glory. This presents a beautiful truth that expounds and opens many other promises in the scripture, such as, “nothing shall by any means harm you”, and “1000 shall fall at thy side, and 10,000 at thy right hand and yet, it shall not come near you”. Believe and you shall be saved!

As I walk with the Lord, faithfully following His voice, obeying His commands; I know that His glory is in me and He Himself is the Wall of Fire round about me- His holy and mighty angels encamped round about me at all times preventing an evil from touching me. As long as I walk in the Spirit, no flesh or natural elements can do anything to me! Thank you Lord for Your Truth! I receive it, I believe it and I will live it!
